Judith M. Groppelli

Judith M. (Wildes) Groppelli, 73, beloved wife for 49 years of John J. Goppelli, Jr., of Castle Hill Road, Pawcatuck, passed away at her home on Saturday, January 2, 2021 surrounded by her family.
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Wildes.
Judith was a devoted communicant of St. Michael Church where she was an active member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was a master craftswoman who always went over and above in giving time and effort to anyone in need.
She will be dearly missed by her husband John and their three children, Anne M. Vetelino and husband Louis and Brian T. Groppelli, all of Westerly, and John J. Groppelli III and wife Andrea of Medford, MA; and six grandchildren who affectionately called her "Dodo". Judith also leaves three brothers, George Wildes, Jr. and Kevin Wildes, both of Westerly and Richard Wildes of Groton; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Wildes.
Visiting hours are omitted. A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10am on Thursday, Jan. 7, at St. Michael Church, 60 Liberty St., Pawcatuck. Burial will be private.
