So many memories of Marylou - "Mrs. Walters" and Susan and Raeann. Playing at her house eating dinner over there at a fold down table in the kitchen. As I recall we had tomato soup with noodles of some kind that was great. I hope Susan you are doing well - my dear childhood best friend. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your families.

I remember after years of having a deck at the back of the house, my folks decided to turn it into a screened-in porch. It really was quite nice to have. Well, Christmas was coming. My mom loved the holidays, especially Christmas. So, my dad and I were sent off on the errand of getting a Christmas tree, no, we were sent to get Christmas trees. We get to the Christmas tree stand and we pick one out for the living room, then a really large one for the new back porch, then we get one for the front porch. The guy at the stand thought we were done, but we still needed half a tree. He had the perfect one. The front was perfect, and the back was, well, gone. My dad pays for our 3 full trees and we get the half of a tree as a bonus and a laugh. That half a tree was put in the hallway, up against the wall. It was nothing less than perfect. That year we had the most festive home I have ever seen south of the North Pole. I will always miss both my mom and dad, and think of them at least once every single day. I am comforted to know they are now together for all of eternity.
