Pamela Nardone Obituary

Pamela Nardone, 72, of Brooklyn, New York, and Hopkinton, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on October 12, 2023. She was the loving wife of William Greenfield and together they shared 44 years. She was the daughter of the late Vincent F. Gaccione and Thelma (Hughes) Gaccione.
Born on September 21, 1951, in Westerly Rhode Island, Pam attended Prout and then Mount St. Vincent College, both in Wakefield, Rhode Island. She then went on to attend Traphagen School of Interior Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She began her Pamelcareer in interior design; and met the love of her life, William, at Workbench. She worked in handbag and belt production for Avignon and finished her career as a purchaser for Carlos Falchi before retiring with William to their farm in Hopkinton, Rhode Island. She loved city life, the crowds, the subway, the food. She often visited museums, botanical gardens, etc. with family and friends. An avid concertgoer, Pam and William attended hundreds of concerts including the Foo Fighters, Patti Smith, David Bowie, and the Rolling Stones. Pam also enjoyed cooking, travel, and doing crafts with her daughter and grandsons. She loved her farm and her animals and was blessed to spend her final days at home with her family.
Pam is survived by her husband, William Greenfield, daughter, Zenia Morrone and her husband, Brian, and grandchildren, Dominic and Alec Morrone, a sister, Patricia Shehan (Mark), mother-in-law, Sonya Greenfield, sister-in-law, Marjorie Greenfield (Anthony), niece, Chloe Bernbach (Matthew), nephew, Daniel Post (Katie), and great nieces, Minna and Sloane, as well as numerous friends who Pam considered family. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Vincent and Thelma Gaccione, her son, Woody Greenfield, and her nephew, Cyrus Shehan.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023, at the River Bend Cemetery in Westerly, Rhode Island, reception to follow. The family would like to give a special thanks to: Dr. Robert Fox, South County Health, Continuum Care Hospice, and Beatrice LaBoy Halliwell.
