Patricia Barina Obituary
Born in Westerly, on June 12, 1936, she was the daughter of Pedro and Sophie Panciera, of Bradford, R.I. Pat was a homemaker who took great pride in her family and their accomplishments. Pat was known as a strong and unique person who loved all types of music and animals, especially her pets. Pat was also a talented gardener who raised many types of exotic plants and cacti.
She is survived by her children, Brenda J. Hoffman, of Cape Coral, Fla., Donna M. Lanphear, of Palm Springs, Calif., and Michael D. Barina, Howard B. Barina Jr., and Peter J. and Patrice M. Truss Barina, all of Ledyard. Besides her children, Pat is also survived by several grand and great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Howard B. Barina; and grandson, Charles "Chuck" Lanphear.
There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org); or St. Labre Indian School (www.stlabre.org), her two favorite charities.

Mrs. Barina... I will not forget you from many years ago with your house on the corner and dogs in the yard... though they always scared me when I walked past. I now am an avid dog lover. RIP and may your memory live on in all you leave behind! The Highlands was a great place to grow up in and for those of us with strong Moms - we are eternally thankful for the memories! Sending warm prayers to all those who loved you.

PAT WAS MY FRIEND FOR OVER 40 YEARS. SHE WAS A GREAT FRIEND OF THE VO-AG PROGRAM. HER FARM WAS A EXCELLENT FIELD TRIP FACILITY . KIND, HAPPY AND INTELLEGENT WERE HER QUALITIES . I TAUGHT HER KIDS AND GRANDKIDS AND THEY LOVED HER AS WELL. RIP MY FRIEND

I love you beyond words, and will never forget all the memories i made with you. You truly were such an honest, and amazing person, everybody will miss you so much... Thank you for being there for me throughout my whole life... i'm forever grateful for how much you've impacted on my life, i know it was for the best and you're out pain, but i just hope you're doing okay. I will never forget you.
