Patricia Lynne Campbell

WATERFORD - Patricia 'Trish' Lynne Campbell, 61, of Waterford, CT, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, after a courageous three-year battle with cervical cancer.

Born in 1963, Trish grew up in Stonington, CT, one of eight children of the late Constance and William Kmetz. She was a graduate of Saint Michael School in Pawcatuck, Class of 1978, and Stonington High School, Class of 1982.

Trish was a devoted paraeducator at West Vine Street School, where she worked up until becoming ill. She was known for her kindness, dedication to her students, and her natural gift for making everyone feel seen, valued, and loved.

Trish loved summers at the beach, time spent with her family, friends, and dog, and cheering on her beloved New York Giants and most recently the Texas Longhorns. She was the light of every room she entered. Her warmth and laughter will forever live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Daniel Campbell; her daughter, Kelly Campbell; and her beloved dog, Bruin. She also leaves behind her seven siblings, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and countless close friends whom she considered family.

Trish held a special place in her heart for her brother Billy and sister Barbara, whose love, strength, and unwavering support carried her through her cancer journey.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, October 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21, at Saint Michael Church, 60 Liberty St., Pawcatuck. There is no procession from the funeral home to church.
