Peter Cillino Obituary
Born in Westerly, RI on April 5, 1926, he was the son of the late Romeo and Louise (Sposato) Cillino.
Peter worked 15 years for General Dynamics and 21 years at Sup Ships working as a quality control inspector for the government.
Peter was a very proud World War II Veteran, he traveled the Pacific on the Destroyer Escort USS Thornhill.
Peter was a very proud father of his three daughters, also of his three granddaughters which he attended most of their sports events and always cheered them on. He also enjoyed his 4 great-grandchildren and all their accomplishments.
He was an avid gardener of which he shared his vegetables with many.
In 2016 he attended the Honor Flight to Washington DC with full VIP Honors.
He is survived by his two daughters and spouses, Deborah Iacoi (Jay) and Dianne Orlando (Larry) and grandchildren Bethany Bedrossian (Mike), Jennifer McGuire (Brian), Rachel Orlando and two siblings, Samuel Cillino and Catherine "Kay" Alfiero, he preceded in death by his daughter Donna L. Liguori and his sister, Marion Pescatello, and his brother Romeo "Junie" Cillino.
Peter will be missed by many who listened to his stories of the war and Westerly's North End where he grew up.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 111 High St. Westerly.
All are welcome to gather for a calling hour from 9:30am to 10:30am at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St. Westerly before following in procession for the mass.
Burial will be held the following day at 1:30pm at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. If attending the burial, please arrive at 1:15pm at the cemetery administration building.

To the entire family.
Pete's passing was the passing of an unbelievable gentleman. Stopping at his house was always a highlight as he regaled his many stories while providing the wine and the cheese. He will be sorely missed by all.
