Richard Macensky Obituary
Born in Worcester, Mass. He was the beloved son of Evelyn Macensky of Middletown, CT and the late John Macensky.
Richard worked as a roll-off operator for the Town of Westerly for many years, was an avid New York Jets fan, as well as a Volkswagen bus enthusiast, and a member of LiMBO and the Hole in the Woods Gang. He loved cooking (an excessive amount of food) for his friends and family especially when it could be done outdoors at his camp kitchen at a Volkswagen campout.
In addition to his mother, he will be dearly missed by his two daughters, Amy Main of Pawcatuck and Jana Menta of Middletown, CT; a brother Jeffrey Macensky of Stuart, FL; two grandchildren, Kaiya Jefferies and Zoe Main; and his beloved dog and constant companion, Ziggy. Richard was predeceased by his sister Shari Reilly.
A Celebration of Richard's Life will be held on Friday January 18, 2019 from 5pm-8pm at the Calabrese Club, 28 Pleasant St., Westerly. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in charge of the arrangements. For online condolences please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com

Richard was a great guy. I remember him cooking at West River at his camp kitchen, the food was awesome. On behalf of myself and my husband as the organizers of Buses by the Buoy, I extend our sincere condolences on your loss. We will very much miss seeing Rich at the VW camp outs, ours and at West River.
