Clinton Gill Obituary

Gill, Clinton Robert,

87, of Taylorsville, died November 20, 2014 at the Lexington Veterans' Administration Medical Center.

Clint was born June 19, 1927 in El Dorado, Kansas. Margaret, his wife of forty-nine years, preceded him in death in 2010.

Clint graduated from Milligan College and was a preacher in Restoration Movement Independent Christian Churches for over 60 years. He served in the Navy in World War 2, participating in Operation Dragoon Allied Invasion of Southern France in 1944.

Clint was a great teacher, an avid reader, loved to fish and cheer on the Louisville Cardinals.

Clint is survived by two siblings, Thelma Montgomery and Donald Gill; 7 children (Peggy DeCamp, Harold Hook, Owen Hook, Michael Hook, Clint Gill, Christi Gill Baunach and Andrew Gill), 13 grandchildren (David Blair, Christopher Blair, Virginia Jackson, Holly Hook Miskimen, Heather Hook Fietze, Melissa Hook, Caleb Gill, Emily Gill, Rachel Baunach, Joshua Baunach, Seth Baunach, Corey Gill and Kennedy Gill) and 13 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, December 14 at 2:30 pm at Hikes Point Christian Church, 2601 Hikes Lane, in Louisville. The family asks that any gifts be given as donations to Hospice in Clint's memory at www.Hospice.net/org.
