Gene Harold Persinger

PERSINGER Gene Harold Persinger, 82, Marblehead, OH, died August 3, 2011 in Marblehead, Ohio. Born on February 4, 1929 in Hinton, WV, he was a proud Korean War veteran. He retired from General Motors, Columbus, OH, after working in security for 30 years. He also was a Franklin Co. sheriff and a volunteer fireman for Prairie Twp. Gene loved the 40 years spent at Bay Point, Marblehead with many long-time good friends enjoying summer weekends and moving there after retirement. He also had a "snowbird" family of friends in Garden City, SC, who made winters a "home away from home." He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathleen; daughter, Lynn List, Myrtle Beach, SC; sons, Brent (Phyllis), Columbus, OH, Mark, Marblehead, OH, Todd (Lynn) Granville, OH, Scott, Columbus, OH; four grandchildren, Leah Persinger, Bremerton,WA, Jared (April) Persinger, Chehalis, WA, Houston Persinger, Nashville, TN, and Clayton Persinger, Granville, OH; great-grandson, Landon, Chehalis, WA; brothers, James (Phyllis) Persinger and Robert (Mary) Persinger.
