Glasser Jeffrey D. Glasser, age 64, passed away suddenly on August 31, 2016 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. Jeff was born on July 14, 1952 to the late Samuel and Bernice Glasser. He was a graduate of Mayfield Heights High School. Jeff was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Air Force who honored his fellow Veterans by publishing a book titled, "The Secret Vietnam War in Thailand." He was a graduate of The Ohio State University. He served as an Auxiliary Police Officer for the City of Whitehall. Jeff had a long career as technical director at WSYX Channel 6 and then established his own photography business in central Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Catherine; son, Joel (Samantha); grandson, Isaac; brother, Ray; sister, Patti; many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call Friday, September 2, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 East Broad Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Holy Spirit Church, 4383 East Broad Street. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. I took this portrait of Jeff a few months before he died. (He did all of the lightening of course! I just had to push the button!) He was a gifted photographer and he was the best technical director I ever worked with while in television news! Jeff had a kind heart and worked to be the best he could be no matter what it was. I'm not sure everybody appreciated that about him. I appreciated it Jeff. I'm glad to call you my friend.

To Cathy and family,
My deepest sympathy and prayers to you at this sad time. I knew Jeff during my high school days and then continued our friendship thru our holiday messages at Christmas time and on FaceBook. I always marveled at Jeff's ability to use his talents to the fullest. I am so saddened to have to bid him adios and I will miss him dearly. He definitely made the world a better place.
