I will miss you, John. Your life was an inspiration that made a deep impression on me--your good deeds and deep spiritual insights on life. Uncle John, I have known you my entire life. I am missing your calls already to me when you were visiting Dad ( your older brother Jim). And also our conversations at his house. You have always thought of others and you are already missed so much. I am fortunate that I got to spend the day with you Sat. I will always remember that special time together.

We met only recently when our Dad moved in next door, but he was gracious, and you could tell, one tour de force. We talked about religion, family and his life as we watched for deer to come out to his salt lick. God Bless you John.

John was one unique, generous gentleman who indeed lived a full life even if he espoused to have lived the hermit life.. What a great advocate for Catholic education- as Saint Charles Preparatory school can attest to. I have remember John Gibboney many times over my lifetime, always with great fondness. He allowed Young Adults to camp and retreat on the farm. Prayers for the family at this time of change and loss.
