Kyle Eugene Arthur, age 91, of Pickerington, OH, passed away August 17, 2021. He was born January 31, 1930 in Huntington WV to the late Frank and Athel Arthur and graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Teaching. Kyle proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a school teacher for 38 years, most of which was at Kitty Hawk Elementary School in Huber Heights, OH. Kyle loved sports; playing basketball, baseball and running track throughout his school years, playing basketball for the Air Force throughout Europe in his 20's, and then coaching and cheering on his children and grandchildren in their many sports endeavors. In retirement, he played senior softball for many years in the Dayton area and also competed in several Senior Olympics softball tournaments. He loved telling jokes and stories; and was always singing or whistling his favorite songs. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Tom Arthur and his niece Karen Kay. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Shirley Arthur; children, Vicki (Butch) Arthur, Matt (Robin) Arthur and David Arthur; grandchildren, Nicholas (Regina), Jennifer, Kyle (Nami), Mary, Amy, and Mia; great grandchildren, McKenna, Naia, Kayla, Victoria and Rey; and great-nephews, Jason and T.J.; and great-niece, Angie.
