What can I say about Marty, so many fond memories but what always comes to mind is the smile. No matter if I was down or just having a bad day, there he was trying his best to make me laugh. If I had to pick one memory it would always have to be his smile and kind heart. We all miss you Marty.

Marty and I went to school together at St. James the Less. Marty was always popular because he was a really nice guy. He was easy to talk with and made friends easily. He will be missed by those who knew him.
I'll remember him and his family in my prayers.

I was greatly sadden to hear Marty wouldn't make it to our 50th. We had many fun times at Linden and I cherished the fun and his humor when I was trying to tutor him on a class he just disliked. He would fight it but he passed. I'll never forget the grin on his face when he showed me his B. He acted tough on the outside but a loving marshmallow on the inside. My prayers to the family. He's in a better place.

Marty and I share the birth month and year of 1946, we went to the same high school and played football together. We also shared the status of veteran of military service. Marty, I will continue our sentry duty until we "muster" for colors, may you rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear of Marty's passing, he always had a big smile in High School and it was fun reminiscing about school, football games, and more. We were looking forward to seeing him at our 50th Class Reunion next summer. He told Barb (Fitzer) Martin that he was going to make every effort to walk into the event on his own. He will be missed, but has been released to a place with no pain, and so much love. Blessings to you and the family.

Marty has been in my life for the last 29 years. He was tough on the outside but caring and loving on the inside, he softened once I got to know him. He was a wonderful father in law, full of character, funny but also so thoughtful. We all knew we mattered to him. He loved football, sci-fi, cooking, family time, music, singing & dancing. He passed on skills to all of his sons so that they could make a living and support their families. And he had nicknames for most of us or a special way he'd say our names when he greeted us. He will be so greatly missed! But we are also thankful he is no longer suffering physically. It's just not going to be the same without him. Prayers for his wife Phyllis are appreciated, he loved her and all of his family very much. I love you Dad P.
