Clarence Daniels Obituary

Clarence E. Daniels Jr. of Eddyville went peacefully to his Heavenly Home on Oct. 1, 2024, following a long battle with cancer. He kept his strong Christian faith throughout his illness. Clarence was born on Jan. 7, 1960, in Grundy, Virginia, to the late Clarence E. Daniels Sr. and Beatrice M. Daniels. He is preceded in death by not only his father in 2005, but also his brother, Dennis Daniels, in 2011.

Clarence graduated from Lincoln High School of Warren, Michigan, in 1979, where he was known for his athletic skills, he then went on into the Marines right out of high school. Although retired, he previously worked for the Lyon County Recycling Center in Eddyville, where he shared his home with his wife for the last 30 years. Whether you knew him as Clarence, Junior, J.D. or Big C, he was known and loved by all.

Survivors include his mother, Beatrice M. Daniels; his wife of 30 years, Allison Daniels; son, Brian Daniels, of Harrison Twp., Michigan; daughter, Jennifer Daniels (Josh) Witmer; two grandchildren, Jayda and Jensen Witmer, all of Clinton Twp., Michigan; brother, Gary (Mary) Daniels, of Maxi, Virginia; sister, Veronica Music Pickering of Milford, Michigan; brother, Roger Daniels of China, Michigan, who also opened his home to Junior so he could be surrounded by his treasured family during his last weeks. He is also survived by countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends he loved like family.

There will be a Memorial Service and Celebration of Life at S.E. Michigan Conservation Club 2402 Belle River, East China, Michigan 48054 at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024. Friends and family are welcome to attend. There will be a Celebration of Life in Kentucky at a later date.

Junior, my precious Brother. You fought your fight with courage strength, faith, and mostly love. You knew what you were doing when you came home to be with your family and friends. My heart is full of a lifetime of memories, but it meant the world to me to spend the last months/year with you, Allison, Brian, Jennifer, and our family. I miss so much it hurts, but I know you are in your Heavenly Home with Jesus and that makes me happy. Rest in Peace Jr. I love you! Your one and only Sister, Ronnie
