Mickey Dale Kinnis, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Feb. 17, 2025, in Lyon County, at the age of 52. Born on Oct. 18, 1972, in Crittenden County, Mickey's life was a testament to the values of love, kindness, faith and friendship that he held dear.
Mickey's legacy is carried on by his loving family, including his wife, Lucille Katie Hazelwood Kinnis of Lyon County; his father, Roger Dale (Sherry) Kinnis of Crittenden County; his mother, Edna (Clayton) Blake of Lyon County; his daughters, Whitney Kinnis of Marion and Audrey Hazelwood of Lyon County; his sons, Travis Kinnis of Marion and Jeremy Hazelwood of Lyon County; his favorite sister, Melissa Pederson of Kuttawa; his sister, Jennifer (Kevin) Chambliss of Princeton; and his adored grandchildren, Aria Kinnis, Emberly McLevain, Stevie Jo McLevain, Finleigh McLevain, and Cash McLevain. He will also be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Michael Taylor, Dustin Taylor, Alyssa Chambliss, Jacob Chambliss, and Logan Chambliss.
Mickey was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Reba Kinnis, Burnam and Lois (Noble Glass) Folks.
An avid outdoorsman, Mickey found joy in hunting, fishing, welding, and shooting. He was also a passionate fan of UK Basketball, cheering on his team with the same enthusiasm he brought to all his pursuits. Those who knew Mickey will remember his loving nature, his kind heart, and his friendly demeanor that made everyone around him feel at ease.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
