Jaqueline Tuttle Obituary

Jaqueline Darlene " Bunny" (Detmers) Tuttle, age 64, died at the Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City, ND on Aug. 13, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Feb. 2, 1951 Bunny came to live with her grandparents, Al and Grace Detmers and her Aunt Sandy at an early age at Fingal, ND. She graduated from Fingal High School in 1970, married Andy Tuttle in 1971, and gave birth to a daughter, Angela Marie Tuttle later that year. Bunny worked as a cook at the Fingal Café, the Eagles Restaurant in Jamestown, ND, and most recently was employed at the Pizza Corner Factory in Valley City.
Survivors include her longtime companion Phillip Gruman of Cuba, ND, her father Wesley (Jack) Detmers, Hesston, Kansas, and her cousin Linda Gustafson, Kennewick, WA. Two other aunts and 12 cousins also survive her. She was preceded in death by her husaband, daughter, grandparents, and her aunt Sandra Detmers. During her illness, Sharon Johnson Holt and Rae Ann Janish Lehse were like family to her.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 10 AM Tuesday at the Lerud-Johnson Schuldt Funeral Home in Valley City. Per Bunny's wishes she was cremated so that she might be buried at the foot of her daughter's grave and next to her husband and grandparents' graves in Oriska, ND.
Memorial Contributions should be directed to Sanford medical Center, Fargo or the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City. Special thanks are extended to her doctors and nurses at Sanford Medical Center, Father Luke Meyer, Mary Haugen, Hospice, to her caregivers at the Sheyenne Care Center, and to her many friends in the Fingal Community.

Our sympathy to Bunny's family and friends. Skip and I loved Bunny very much. I remember how our daughters loved spending time at Bunny's with Angela and going on their summer camping trips to Little Yellowstone, with Bunny and Debbie and her family as chaperones. Fun had by all.
The Fingal Café was the daily place to go for Coffee and Cigarettes. Food was great too. Bunny we will miss you, but we now know that you are with all those you loved so much that went before you. May you rest in peace.
