Marc Hudson Burkett, the son of Duane and Jane (Oakley) Burkett, was born December 11, 1950 in Jamestown, ND. Marc and his family moved to Edgley, ND where he grew up and attended school. After receiving his education, Marc enlisted in the US Navy and served his country until he was Honorably Discharged. Marc worked for GTA in Edgley and then moved to Valley City where he helped Hovey Molstad doing farm work. Marc also worked at Hardees for a time and then began doing road construction for Jenson Brothers and Gowans. Marc also helped Larry Miller with farmwork and worked at Lakeview Trucking. Marc married Gloria Kunze in Valley City. Marc enjoyed roller-skating, hunting, fishing and going to car races.
Marc is survived by his children, Hudson Burkett, Valley City, ND, Angelic Rockette, Lacrosse, WI; Gloria Burkett, Valley City, ND; one grandson, Joshua Kalabza; two sisters, Kathy Burch and MJ Connor; one aunt, Mae Krier; two nephews, Jon and Pius Werner.
Marc was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
