Marcy Rynestad Obituary

Marcy Rynestad passed on April 30, 2021 due to pulmonary complications in Bismarck, ND.
Marcy was born June 22, 1946 in Valley City, to Harold and Eleanor Martinson. She attended Leal School and North Central High School, graduating with her circle of close classmates that continued to hold reunions, and travel together for many years.
She married Tom Rynestad, moving to the Twin Cities area where she worked at different jobs throughout the years. In later years, she and Tom moved to St. Cloud, MN, where she volunteered at a local health clinic for many years.
Marcy loved to shop. There wasn't a shop door that she wouldn't love to pull open and step into! Finding the treasures was her hobby, and she found many of them. Always on the go, she also enjoyed traveling. The trips with her husband, friends and other family members were always special times in her life.
Following her husband's death, Marcy moved to Bismarck, ND in 2018 where she was closer to family members. Her son Jason followed in 2020 and was a great help to her while she was living in her condo.
Marcy had a smile, a positive attitude, and a wonderful sense of style and adventure!
She is survived by her son, Jason, sister Nancy Thiel, brother Richard (Pat) Martinson, sister Diana (Wade) Olson, and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and special friends.
A remembrance gathering will be held later this summer in Valley City for friends and family.
