Pearl T. Anderson Obituary

Pearl T. Anderson passed away December 7, 2016 at Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo, she was 93.
Pearl was born on August 14, 1923, the daughter of Joe and Jenny Hoekstra in Barnes County, ND. She graduated from Greenland High School. Pearl was united in marriage to John H. Anderson on October 12, 1943 in Marion. Together they farmed until their retirement. She was a lifetime active member of Marion Lutheran Church and was a member of the Marion School PTA.
Pearl enjoyed basketball, volleyball, bowling, gardening,farming, cooking, baking, fishing, camping, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enthusiastically attended dozens of sporting and musical events for her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker who cherished her family time. She had an unwavering faith and treasured many of the lifelong friendships she made. She was kind, loving, and had a gracious way about her and an infectious smile.
Pearl is survived by her children – Dennis (Jan) Anderson of Elkhart, IN; Wayne Anderson of Fargo, ND; DeLynn (Jeff) Anderson-Hino of Albany, OR; Sherri Reidman of Fargo, ND; Jenell Christianson of Moorhead, MN; and Lori (Bart) Goeson of Moorhead, MN; her grandchildren – Chris (Tracy) Anderson, Jessica (Justin) Carter, Laura (Eddie) Merryfield, Dustin Reidman, Alecia Anderson, Keisha Christianson, Kelsey (James) Murphy, Brady Goeson; and her six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers – Norman Hoekstra of Gold Canyon, AZ; and Paul (Barbara) Hoekstra of Ogden UT. She was preceded in death by parents, her husband, her brother Roy Hoekstra, her sister Eva DeVries, her infant son Russell Anderson, her granddaughter Brandon Perrine, and many extended family members.
Please join the family at a celebration of Pearl's life at 2pm on Friday May 12, 2017 at Marion Lutheran Church. Memorials are preferred to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation in Pearl's memory or Marion Lutheran Church.
