Sherry Langdahl Obituary
Sherry Langdahl, age 79, of Coon Rapids, MN died Saturday, August 30th at ARC on the River in Anoka, MN. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 12th at Epworth United Methodist Church in Valley City. Visitation will be held one hour before the service on Friday morning at the church. Inurnment will be in the Page Cemetery, Page, ND. An online guestbook and livestream of Sherry's service will be available at www.lerudmathias.com.
Sheryl Koenig born July 7, 1946 to Barbara (Taskey) and Kenneth Koenig. She grew up on a farm north of Page, ND and graduated in 1963 from Page High School. After graduating from Mayville State University in 1966 with a Bachelor's Degree in Education, she started her teaching career in Wahpeton. She taught English and coached the speech team from 1992 to 2008 at Valley City High School.
She married her high school sweetheart Edward (Jim) Langdahl April 17, 1965. They had 60 wonderful years together. They farmed north of Page and coached together. Sherry enjoyed reading, quilting, and spending time with family.
She is survived by husband, Jim Langdahl; brothers, Terry Koenig (Juneal), Mike Koenig (Cindy); sisters, Peggy Maasjo (Lyndon), Patty Olstad, JoAnne Thorson (Marvin); daughters, Tara Langdahl-True (Chris), Tasha Marwitz (Ryan); four grandchildren: Brianna Marwitz, Amaya Marwitz, Nolan Langdahl-True and Serena Langdahl-True and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by parents, Kenneth and Barbara Koenig, Tony and Judith Langdahl and brother-in-law Russ Gilbertson.
