Following that he worked at a law firm in Denver and one in Grand Junction. He was a dedicated employee and always excelled in whatever project he was assigned.

Brian chose career paths that always led to helping other in crisis, from 15 years as a paramedic, 5 years as a fireman and the last three years as a paralegal. Brian was exceptional at every job. He was described by a co-worker as having a loving heart of gold and would do anything to help others. He was always a gentleman. Brian was a of a jokester and loved to make people laugh.

Brian loved the outdoors and especially the mountains. He enjoyed hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park and Steamboat Springs. He river-rafted in Gunnison. Martha and Carl,

I am so sorry, and was totally shocked to read of Brian's passing. I know how very proud you were of him and what he has done with his life. He was truly a brave soul and a very loving son. He will now be in heaven as one of God's angels, looking down on you to see that you are OK. My best to both of you. Love to you both, Lonna

I'm very sorry to hear of Brian's passing. I worked with him when we were at Cith Ambulance in Eureks, and I have fond memories of that time. I lost track of him after his accident. Again, I'm sorry for your loss.

Family and Friends of Brian:

As each of you know, Brian was a special person who inspired those who knew him. Brian worked with me on a U.S. Supreme Court brief. He was so diligent on the project that it trully surprized me. He was meticulous and kept me advised of every procedural nuance. After the project was completed he was very proud of the work we had done. He had every right to be. I was honored to work with him. On January 1, 2006, Brian called me from Denver. He asked me to be a reference for him. He spoke of his aspirations. He also mentioned his desire to stay in the good graces of his parents. He asked me to relay specific messages to certain people in the office in order to convey, essentially, a message of forgiveness. I again was honored to participate in Brian's life. I will remember Brian as an example of a peacemaker and of human potential. Keith Killian

I met Brian when he was my EMT insutructor. I have been an EMT in the fire service for almost 20 years. He had many gifts but one that touched so many people was his ability to teach, not just the clinical but the love of the job. I hadn't seen or spoken to him in years but his death is a great loss. I will continue to be the best EMT I can be in memory of Brian. God Bless you.

Martha and Carl, there is nothing that we can say to ease the pain of your loss. We could only admire the courage of you and Brian during his early health battles at Mad River Hosp/Pharmacy. Now we all must have courage in his loss knowing that he is now an angle of God.

Our symphathy, Jerry and Sally Voohrees
