Dennis Joseph Stinsman

Dennis Joseph Stinsman left this world Sunday January 20th 2013. He was born Oct. 15th 1950 in Camden, New Jersey, to Mary and George Stinsman. He grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey where he attended 12 years of Catholic school. Growing up Dennis loved playing baseball and stickball with his brother George in their neighborhood. He loved auto racing and also raced his Nova at Atco Speedway in New Jersey and did quite well. In the 1980's Dennis started a Volkswagen repair business in New Jersey. Dennis then traveled to California to visit a friend and fell in love with Humboldt County. He decided to stay and had lived in Southern Humboldt since the mid 1980's. Dennis was a Jack of all trades, a truly talented man. He helped many people solve problems with carpentry, plumbing and auto mechanics. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved fishing, and the outdoors. He was loved by all who met him, none more than his grandchildren Jonathan and Dusk Huber Joyes, Colton and Hunter Hoisington, Selena and Giovani Huerta, Alysia Jodrey. His stepdaughter Natara Joyes, Megan Hoisington and husband Josh Hoisington, Stepson Dana Johnson, son-in-law Jesse Huber. He is also survived by his siblings Genevieve Cipolone, MaryAnn Duus, George Stinsman, and Catherine Lieberman. Also his loving partner of many years Veda Hoyes, and countless other friends. Dennis touched many, many lives with his loving kindness and will be greatly missed. Future Memorial Service to be announced at later date.
