Ella Marie Biondini "Nonni" born July 19, 1927, entered into rest December 2, 2005.
Nonni was born and raised in Humboldt County, graduated from Arcata High. She met the love of her life at the Big 4 Restaurant in Arcata. They corresponded while he served in the US Navy and married in 1947. They lived their entire married life of 53 years in Loleta.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis Biondini in 1999; mother and father, Santina and Giovanni Giuntoli; mother and father-in-law, Henry and Elvira Biondini; brother, Marino Giuntoli; and brother-in-law, Howard Peterson.
She is survived by her sons, Larry Biondini and his wife Linda of Fortuna, and Dale Biondini and his wife Kathy of Kentucky; grandchildren, Cory, Carolyn, Shannon, Sammy, Robbie, and Kelly; sisters-in-law, Esther Giuntoli and Stella Peterson; nieces and nephews, Paul Giuntoli and his wife Karla, Barbara Juell and her husband Greg; and children, Erikson and Sarah, Barbara Hackett and husband George and family, and Chuck Peterson and family.
Nonni was a wonderful homemaker and loving mother. Family meant everything to her. She enjoyed raising her family, cooking, gardening, and watching her children and grandchildren play sports, especially baseball. She helped at the family business, Loleta Meat Market, whenever needed, being creative in the deli.
She was very proud of her Italian Heritage. She was a very giving person helping those in need. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and appreciated all the visits and cards during her recent illness.
Nonni lived the last three years at Sequoia Springs in Fortuna and made many new friends. She found a love for bingo and enjoyed the many activities and festivities that were held. She loved going on outings especially to Larry’s home for family dinners and gatherings.
Nonni loved animals, especially kitty. She looked forward to every opportunity to "kitty sit" on weekends and vacations asking Larry, "When are you going out of town again?" Kitty did not want to go home after being doted on by Nonni.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr Olkin, Redwood Memorial Hospital, St Joseph Hospital, St. Luke Healthcare, and Sequoia Springs for all their love and support for Nonni. She loved you all and appreciated all that you did for her.

I worked at Sequia Springs from Jan 05 to the end of June and your Mom was a joy to help. I stopped in one morning and gave her a foot massage with some nice cream. She was so surprised and actually enjoyed it! She is a great lady and tell Kitty she is watching over her. Darlene Flowers

I will miss Ella so much, I loved her like my Grandma even though I only knew her for one short year. In that short year, she quickly became my favorite resident. She was ALWAYS happy, even when she was in pain. You could always count on a sweet and positive word from Ella. I helped take care of her at Sequoia Springs and looked forward to a good-night hug and kiss from her at her bedtime. I'll also miss wheeling her to meals and going down the hall as fast as we safely could because she, "liked to go fast!" Ella was so sweet and kind, everyone who met her, fell in love with her. I miss her. Sincerely, Lynett
