Yes, I will remember Jim with a smile on his face always. My condolences are with you all. He was such a dynamic part of your family and the St. Bernard's family I knew as my kids were growing up.
Since I do not get the paper anymore, I just read this on line. Sorry I'm so late.

Marie and Family ~ Good times at the Bugbee's in Petrolia will be remembered and cherished. I always told Jim he was so lucky to be married to Marie since she was from the Martin Family. Fond memories of the good tines far out-shadow the sorrows felt today.....Look back and recall a fun story or practical joke Jim relayed to you, and the tears will soon be replaced by a smile or laugh. Thanks Jim for taking good care of one of our Martins!

The Bugbees have always treated friends of family like family as well.. a few Easter's spent in the laundry room tending bar and the only drink offered was a 7&7. I think of Grandpa Bugbee every time Easter rolls around and he wasn't even my grandpa... thanks Jason for introducing me to your grandpa...your grandparents are special people.

Eleven years living in Eureka and growing up with the Bugbee family are the best memories of my life. It seems like another life to me because there are so many happy times with friends and families I truly cherish. Marie, Cathy, Patti Bill and Dave just please know we the Sheltons of Santa Rosa share in your sadness in the passing of your Father and Husband Jim. I'll always remember Jim asking me " how's the ol soup bone Tommy"? Dave and I spent a lot of time together throwing the ball around whether it was a baseball or football. Jim would always join in. I always admired Jim and Marie as really great parents and knew I was lucky to have great parents too. We just recently lost my father Don and my brother Donny in '97 and our conversations and memories often turned to Eureka and the Bugbees. I could go on and on but just know our hearts our filled with Love for your family.

Marie, I will miss Jim answering the phone when I call for you; Jim was such a tease. He will be sorely missed.
Loved hearing about all the things the great grandchildren were doing when I came to visit. You were a great team. May you always be able to recall his voice and that knowing smile he had for you.
My most sincere condolences to you and your lovely family.

Jim was my 1st cousin and we met when I stayed with the Bugbee Family in the early 1940's. Jim loved to have fun, make people laugh, and in my case get me in trouble by teaching me, as a 3-4 year old, dirty words. I've known Jim for 75 years, and his sweet lovely wife Marie since 1949.......you won't ever find finer people. Jim is missed already, but his Family carry's his legacy on.

Hello Family,
You don't know me, but wanted to say prayers for you. I grew up in Petrolia and remember him. My dad was Gunnar Jorgensen. We were good friends with Clark and Mae. Every Christmas Mae would bring us a batch of homemade candy. Loved that divinity! The best. I always fed their dogs on Evergreen way when they went on vacation, thank for the memory.
Sincerely,
Kathy Jorgensen Bowser

Jim was the guy in church who tried to make us giggle (and get in trouble) when we were little, so many years ago. Still today, just seeing his picture makes me smile. My condolences to the whole Bugbee family.

Dear Dave, Ann, Ken and family...so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. What a fine man. A word that isn't used very often anymore was a favorite of my grandmother's...She would have said, "He was a swell guy." That he was indeed. Our best to one and all.. Brad Curtis (Spinas) and family.
