John Loring Hilfiker, age 73. Beloved husband of the late Helen. Loving father of Joseph (Rebecca) Hilfiker and Anastasia (Gregory) Mortimore. Adoring grandfather of Victoria, Jakob, Katherine, and Leah. Dear brother of William (Anita) Hilfiker and Jill (John) Eckelstaffer. Caring friend of Ann Bowles. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. A proud graduate of Eureka Senior High, veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division, and past executive director of the Concrete Pipe Association of Michigan. He passed away after a good day of skiing. A memorial will be held in the spring.
