Joshua Eudy Obituary

Joshua Flynn Eudy

May 25, 1990-

November 3, 2008

Josh passed away after a sudden illness. He grew up in Fortuna and was apart of many Church youth groups. He loved to work, but loved to play his guitar more. Music was a gift that he shared with those he loved, and there were many who fell into that category.

He is survived by his parents, Kellie and William Eudy; sisters and brothers, Amie and Eric Magstadt, April, Andrew, his twin Joe, Jon, Anna, Abigail, and Abraham; his loving girlfriend, Jordan; and other family members who will always miss his smiling face.

There will be a Memorial Service held on Saturday November 9, 2008, at 2:00 pm at the Fortuna First Church of the Nazarene. There will be a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers there has been a trust set up in Josh’s name at Community Credit Union of Southern Humboldt branch in Garberville they can be contacted at (707) 923-2012.

1 Timothy 4:12 “Don’t not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.”

I always appreciated and enjoyed Josh's worship music at Weott Christian Church. He was willing to get up there and lead us, whether it was with others accompanying him, or by himself. He was always so sweet to talk to, a real pleasure to know. There are things that happen in this life that we cannot understand, and Josh's leaving us at such a young age is one of them. But we can take comfort knowing that God is in control. I can picture Him telling Josh, "Well done thou good and faithful servant."

To Bill, Kellie and family: I grieve with you and love you. You are in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this terribly difficult time. May you be comforted by what I will always call Josh's song (and can imagine him singing it now in Heaven) because for him it can't get "any better than this."

My angel was the love of my life. He always strived to do what is right in the eyes of our Lord Jesus, and of course me.:) These past two years were the most amazing to years a girl could ever have. My Joshy ment so much more to me than a boyfriend. He was everything. I'll always remember you always being the only one to cheer me up when I was having a bad day. And you saying those silly comments like, "Hey at least you get to see me the most hottest guy in the world today." Ya you were always so in to yourself, but always in a joking matter. When it really came down to it though you always wanted the best for everyone else and never once stopped to think about you and what you wanted. Even though we are apart I'll never forget who you were to me. Josh was my rock, my life, the man I was going to be with the rest of my life. He was and ment everything to me. I'll always remeber those amazing times we had together. the walks on the beach, those CRAZY parties at my parents house, our wrestling matches with Sam and that one time accidentally with the Christmas tree. OOPS! And every time we got in trouble you always knew what to say to get us out of trouble. I can hear you now saying,"Wendy, in that ever so sweet voice of yours I'm sorry." you were always on top of things lol!

Although life was short with you my angel, I know that God blessed you. He was always here for us. To my new family: thank you so much for allowing Joshua to be apart of me. He ment so much to all of us. Josh was an inspiration and a blessing. When you look back on life with him always remember that he is with us. And he's sitting right next to us cracking up laughing in that little Eudy giggle of his that we all have come to know and Love!

I Love You My New Family,

Knowing who Josh was in life was truly a blessing. His bright countenance and boyish grin would light up the room wherever he went. His love for Jesus was so genuine and pure, showing those of us who knew Josh that Jesus was indeed the way, the truth and the life. I was truly blessed by the way Josh freely gave of himself, never holding back a good word or a good story! I will miss his gentle love that he so openly gave to everyone. He truly had a gift of being able to converse and interact with all types of people. Knowing that he is in the loving arms of the Lord and Savior he served so passionately in life is the comfort that I have in coping with his untimely death. Bill, Kelly, I love you guys and your incredible family. I pray continually that God will strengthen you each day as you rise in the morning, walk through the day and press on through the years. We all will terribly miss your sweet boy, though we have joy in knowing that he has gone on to receive his reward that we all anticipate with great hope. The Hymn that came to me when I heard about Josh was, Great is thy Faithfulness…. Lord unto me. < Annette

Words are so feeble to express such a great loss. Josh was truely easy to love. He wore his heart out in the open and was not afraid to live for Jesus. In todays world young men like Josh are very rare and we who have to remain here with our feet on the ground, find it a harder place. He has touched so many of us in his short life and we are all the better for that touch. I will miss him and his warm smile. Truely God must be happy to such a son back home!

Dear Eudy Family,
Watching Josh and Joe dissect frogs in biology lab continues to be one of my most humerous and treasured teaching moments. I'll also never forget the kindness and reverence for motherhood Josh showed each week. Me being "great with child," he dutifully volunteered to carry my books, materials, and equipment from the classroom to my car, even in the rain and when more than one trip was required. That is a reflection of Christlike love and compassion, taught only in the home.

I know I have three brothers, but when you became apart of my sisters life; you also were apart of my life, and you were like a fourth brother to me. Ill never forget the time we were camping and I said,"Hey Josh your tent is opened." the first thing you did was looked down at your pants zipper; I said," No, your tents opened not your pants!!" We laughed really hard that day. You have been a big blessing in our lives, and I will miss you alot. I can't wait to see you again someday in Heaven.

To My Josh
My Mom heart is bleeding for you. I hurt so bad and long to laugh at your jokes and get your big bear hug. Thank you for being my son for these short 18 years. I will miss you forever until we see each other in heaven. I am so proud of you, you loved big and kept the faith. Even in your death you helped three other families not to suffer the pain we are feeling now. You are a hero! I love you forever, your Mom

Bill & Kellie, I wept uncontrollably when I heard of Josh's sudden passing. As a father I can't even begin to imagine your sorrow. As a friend, I want to be there to hold you. I loved Josh and his gentle disposition. I had such a great time with him when we stayed after church at night to jam, he was doing really great on the drums. When Josh came to help me work at night and we went to McDonalds after, we had such a great time. Josh was so polite and easy going, his smile even made you feel comfortable. My heart continues to be heavy for your great loss. I trust that God will give you comfort, peace, rest, and surround you with His loving arms now and in the days ahead. I miss you both and hope to see you in December. Ben

To Josh:
You fought the good fight! You finished the race! You kept the faith! You are ready to receive the crown of righteousness that the Lord has kept for you. What are the instruments and sound system like in heaven? I bet you're rockin' out! Love you. Miss you until we see you again.
To family and friends:
We are heartbroken and can't begin to comprehend why this tragedy has happened. We are left with a huge void that noone else can fill. There is nothing that can be said or done to make this better. The loss is overwhelming. I can only send the love and compassion that I feel in my heart to you. My prayer is that God will keep each of us under His wing and hold us like noone else can. May His Spirit be the Great Comforter to each one of us. We love you. You are in our prayers.

Hey Josh, I knew you only a short time, but grew "very" fond of you in that short time. Your smiling face & good nature will be missed. I loved it when you told me I reminded you of your Grandmother. Grandmothers are so dear. To your family Josh, I am so sorry for your loss. You had a fine son in Josh & it's hard to believe he isn't with us on this earth any longer, but Josh, we will all see you in heaven when it's our turn to go. I worked with Josh @ Dazey's supply in Redway, Ca. God Bless you & your family Josh.

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Josh at Dazey's he was a remarkable young man! I only knew him at work but what I do know is he loved his girlfriend soooo much, and always talked about marrying her. His life was short but sweet. Josh was a caring, happy person who would always say something to make people laugh. I am truely going to miss seeing his bright shiney smile, but now he will smile on all of us from above. Josh you will be missed greatly! I'm so glad that I had the pleasure of meeting you. For Josh's family my hope for you is to stay strong and to know he's in a better place.

We are so sorry to hear of your families great loss. Josh was such a terrific young man!! I will not forget him and Joe coming here to the house for their tutoring with April. He loved to joke and just loved life. What a blessing and legacy he has left us all. Love the Lord with all your soul, with all your strength, with all your heart. Josh was a beautiful example of that.

Our prayers are with with Kellie and Bill at this time. We love you and your family and know that God will use this for His glory.

May God's arms wrap around you as the Holy Spirit guides you through these days and weeks ahead.
