Opal Schueler Obituary

Opal Maxine Schueler, 81, passed away peacefully at her home on October 3, 2010 at McKinleyville, California. She was born in Oak Creek, Colorado on September 22, 1929. Opal was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, Great grandmother, and friend. Opal loved to play the piano, and had a great love for traditional jazz music. Survivors are husband, Wesley Schueler, four children; Dean Buschow of Blue Hill, Nebraska, Les Buschow of Grand Island, Nebraska, Donald Buschow of San Jose, California, and daughter, JoAnn Schwartz of Middletown, California; 12 grandchildren; and many dear great-grandchildren. Opal was preceded in death by her children; Dorothy Buschow of San Jose, California, and Donna Gattis of Eureka, California, and grandson, Charles Hicks Jr. of Milpitas, California. Memorial services are being held on October 7, 2010 at 3:00 o'clock at the United Methodist Church of the Joyful Healer, 1944 Central Avenue, McKinleyville, California with Rev. Steve Lundin officiating. Opal will be interred at Oceanview Cemetary, 3975 Broadway, Eureka, California. Please sign the guest book at www.Times-Standard.com, click Obits.
