I met Bob through his kids. I was a counselor (teenager) at Hidden Villa in Los Altos Hills in the mid-sixties. Somehow I ended up living in Bob's barn in 1969 or 1970, helping with chores (milking the cow, pounding nails where he said I should, etc.). Bob was in the same class of another great family I am close to, the Duveneck. He lived a life that mattered.

I would like to Thank Austin Jenkins for sharing his memories of my father and his time that he lived with our family. We remember that year well. It is good to hear from you here! Too many years have gone by! I hope life has been good to you. Come visit us if you are ever in our neighborhood, we are all here and that barn still stands minus our milk cow.
I miss my father, he was a good hearted soul but his legacy lives on. Take care, be well,

A really good man. Really pure soul. I'm 75 now. Met the family at Hidden Villa in the 60s, I think. Lived in their barn for months that year, milked their cow, and helped pound nails in the floor as he built up his home in fall and winter of '69 before moving to the Gulch. Sita was a teen and Rob was even younger. Met Rob again by chance at American Express in Amsterdam 1974. A truly wonderful soul. Austin Jenkins, living in San Martin, CA

I first met Bob when I worked for the County Planning Department in the 1980's. I was so impressed by his eloquence and knowledge and his steadfastness in standing up for his beliefs. His passing is truly the end of an era. Rest in peace and Paradise, sir.
