Conveying my Love and respect to Sally's family, especially her kids, grand kids, great grand kids, and Super Awesome husband Rick.
I was a grad student under Rick a million years ago. Sally would often open her home and host many of us rowdy college students for good food, funny company, and Lots of Biology chatter, particularly wildlife disease conversations!!!
Sally always accepted Every single person's quirks and varied personalities with open arms and a willing heart. She is truly and example of nonjudgemental Love. I will miss her soft spokeness and gentle, beautiful face dearly. She was one of kind and an example of how human beings should treat one another.
I hope her family has comfort that she is resting with God now and most definitely a guiding Angel in their everyday lives!!!

Sending my love and appreciation to Sally. From the moment I met her in my teacher prep program at HSU, she has been a light in my life. A beacon of what is good and true and wonderful in this world, and in being a teacher. She influenced me deeply, and remained a meaningful mentor throughout my career and life. And I LOVE reading her thoughts, hearing her voice in her words. So grateful. Thank you, Sally. Love you.

My memory of Sally is how gracious and kind she was as a person and as a mentor. I appreciated her so much at HSU (then) when I was going through the teaching program. This world would do well to emulate Sally's way of being.

Dear loved ones of Sally Botzler,
Sally was truly awesome! She loved people; anyone, and she was so encouraging and completely non-judgemental . I have been a teacher for 26 years in Sacramento. I still credit Sally, and her friends Marilyn, and Peggy Kirkpatrick for helping me through the program. What a loss for the HSU credential program. Sincerely, Jennifer Williams

I´m so sad to hear of Sally Botzler´s passing. My deepest sympathies to her family and loved ones.
I was one of her students at HSU. She was kind, patient and truly wanted her students to succeed. I felt listened to and cared for in her presence. I learned invaluable lessons from Sally that I have passed on to others. Her legacy continues to live through the many she has mentored.
Sincerely,
Carolyn Galindo
