Scott Trombla Obituary

SCOTT TROMBLA Scott Trombla, age 57, passed peacefully in his home in Miranda alongside loved ones on August 14th after an extensive battle with lung cancer. Final moments were blessed with warming visits from beloved friends and family members. We invite you to celebrate Scott's bountiful life at the Mateel Community Center in Redway on Sunday September 18th. A potluck will commence at 12pm, culinary donations from guests will be greatly appreciated; and the spiritual sermon will take place from 3pm until 5pm. Scott was born in Lincoln, Nebraska to Janet Lehfeldt and Richard Trombla on June 13, 1959 and has resided in Florida, Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon and California throughout his life. Scott's adventurous spirit led him to energetically pursue regions of motocross, carpentry, metal fabrication, deep sea fishing, cave exploration and camping. Alongside Scott's adventures, his dedicated work ethic, humble personality and genuine sense of humor led him to become a production foreman at various manufacturing workshops throughout Oregon and California. In 1993 Scott fell in love with Humboldt County, California. He adored the redwoods, the ocean, the friendly faces, Community Cornerstone and his sweetheart, Michelle Smith. Scott lived happily in Southern Humboldt for twenty-two years as a vocational director at Community Cornerstone, a loving partner to Michelle Smith, a devoted father to Desiree Trombla, a deep sea fisherman at Shelter Cove, a volunteer firefighter at the Redway Volunteer Fire Department and as a dear friend to our community. Scott lovingly devoted his time toward assisting those in need and will always be remembered for his golden heart, lively spirit and compassionate nature. Scott is survived by his partner Michelle Smith, his daughter Desiree Trombla, his brothers Kirk, Matt and Derek Trombla his father Richard Trombla, his mother Janet Lehfeldt and father in law Jerry Lehfeldt as well as an abundance of family members and friends. Memorials may be given directly to family or may be sent to Community Cornerstone in Redway. Our family wishes to extend our sincere gratitude to Doctors Michael Fratkin, Megan Daly and Syed Azeem, Hospice, Community Cornerstone and each and every individual who supported him and our family during these delicate times, we give our love to you.
