My thoughts and prayers are with the family, especially Eli and Jessie, who I never got to meet. Steve brought a feeling of security and comfort every time I was with him; he made me feel jolly and light-hearted. These special times will always be with me; Steve is not gone, his warm spirit is all around in every place.

Words cannot express the love and acceptance Steven Phillip Shears brought into my life. I have deep gratitude for every blessing we shared and treasure the memories. Steven was a sage. What he knew could not be learned in books. He knew God well and is eternally close by His side. He was a brave and thoughtful person. To know him was to love him and if he loved someone, that person was sure to know it! Jessica and Elijah were his number one pride and joy. It's not good-bye it's farewell for now, till we meet again by and by.
