Christopher Booth Obituary

Christopher Thomas Booth, formerly of Barre, passed away Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at his home in Plattsburgh, New York, at the age of 39.
Chris was born on Sept. 21, 1978, in Berlin, Vermont, the son of Thomas and Cheryl (Lafreniere) Booth, of Fort Myers, Florida. He attended Barre Town Elementary School and graduated from Spaulding High School class of 1997. He also attended Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts.
Chris was a very special son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, and was loved by all who knew him. He was the type of guy you just couldn't get mad at, Chris could sweet-talk his way out of just about anything ... which he needed to do plenty of times as the class clown in school growing up. His smile was contagious and he always wanted to make everyone around him happy. Those of us that were close to Chris knew that he was struggling at times, but he would never let you know it. He always had that big smile and something positive to say.
Growing up, Chris loved sports, he played soccer and lacrosse for Spaulding and he also enjoyed playing basketball with his brother and friends. He was also an excellent skier and loved being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
Chris was survived by his father, Thomas Booth; his mother, Cheryl (Lafreniere) Booth; his brother, Scott Booth; and his dog, Sonny; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Chris will be missed so much by all who were lucky enough to be a part of his life.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre. A celebration of Chris' life will follow at Millstone Hill Barn & Lodge, 59 Little John Road, Websterville. For a memorial guestbook, visit www.hookerwhitcomb.com.
Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Central Vermont Humane Society, P.O. Box 687, Montpelier, VT 05601.

My deepest condolences go out to The Booth family. Chris was my friend in elementary and high school. The last time I saw him was in the summer during our college years at my Grandmother's Camp on Woodbury Lake. He was a handsome kid with many friends and a clearly loving, close knit family. Praying you will all find comfort and peace. Much love.

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. I met Marissa a little over 2 yrs ago. Shortly after I met Chris. I was lucky enough to see many accomplishments they achieved. He was so proud of the house in Plymouth and had always a glow about him. I saw him seek and gain employment to support his family. I saw his dedication to the kids. He was smart, loyal, and so kind to ppl. I know he went out of his way to help me, his girlfriend's friend, and I will be forever grateful. I feel honored I was able to have them share Thanksgiving with my family. I want you to know he did try really hard. I wanted to share with his family in Vermont some of the good memories I will always remember fondly and lovingly of their son. Not everyone can say they or their child truly helped others out of just pure kindness. May everyone find peace at this difficult time.
