Dylan Badeau Obituary

PHILADELPHIA - Dylan Ryan Badeau died at his home in Philadelphia on Sept. 9, 2010. He was born in Barre on Sept. 9, 1986, the son of Hector P. and Susan Hoag Badeau of Mount Airy, Pa., formerly of Barre.

He graduated from Roxborough High School in Philadelphia in 2007 in spite of his lifetime struggles with multiple disabilities.

He loved a wide variety of music and enjoyed many family camping trips, visiting the Rockies, Yellowstone Park and the Pacific Ocean. He was a member of Summit Presbyterian Church in Mount Airy, where the bells choir and the music at Christmas and Easter were two of his favorite pleasures. Visits with his youngest relatives, who would sing, play or read to him, brought him special delight.

He was predeceased by his brother Adam. In addition to his parents, he is survived by 11 brothers -- James and Fisher Jones, and David, Abel, Jose, George, Isaac, Raj, Todd, Wayne and Aaron Badeau; nine sisters -- Lilly Jones, and Renee, Tricia, SueAnn, Chelsea, Florinda, Joelle, Geeta and Alysia Badeau; three brothers-in-law; a sister-in-law; more than 30 nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania and Vermont; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

A service in celebration of his life will be held Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at 4 p.m. at his home, 30 Pelham Road, Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Keystone Hospice at KeystoneCare, Office of Development, 8765 Stenton Ave., Wyndmoor, PA, 19038 or online at http://www.keystonecare.com/home.aspx.
