Glenna and her daughter in-law, Jean, had faithfully written to each other every week for the past 56 years. She had a strong Christian faith and was a caregiver throughout her entire life, always treating others with compassion and dignity.

Survivors include her daughter, Shirley (Rice) Tetreault and husband, Mark, of Whitefield, New Hampshire; daughter in-law Jean Hutchins, of Bellevue, Washington; three grandsons, John and Christopher Hutchins and Matthew Tetreault; three great-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Thinking of all of you at Aunt Glenna's service as I write. Wish I could be there, but know that you are on my mind and in my heart.

I have many good memories of Glenna when I was in the Roxbury post office and Glenna had the nursing home next door. She was a fine lady who cared for people and about people, like when she delivered my flue shot each year and told me to put my arm out so she could stick me, because she thought I needed it (she didn't mince words). I lost touch with her over the years, but never forgot those things.

Glenna T. Rice was my father's sister and my aunt who was like a second mother to me. I spent my high school summers and school vacations at her nursing home where I learned to put others first and to be humble. She was an inspiration to me and loved me unconditionally. When me future husband and I became engaged and then married, she championed our relationship. Aunt Glenna gave generously of her time, resources, and talents and helped us countless times as we raised our children. We will always be indebted to Aunt Glenna for her unconditional love and her support. We will meet again in Glory. I love you Aunt Glenna, Carlene and Richard and family
