Linda Green Obituary
Linda was a 1980 graduate of Harwood Union High School in Duxbury. She began her working career as a teller for several central Vermont area banks and then was employed as a secretary for Dr. Beth Ann Maier in Waterbury and then later for Associates in Pediatrics-Barre. Most recently Linda worked as a unit secretary on 2 South at Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin.
Her family fondly remembers Linda for her joy of flower gardening, long car rides on back country roads with her husband, John, and her love and dedication to her family, especially her pride and joy, her daughter, Erica.
Including her parents of Montpelier, Linda is survived by her husband, M. John Green, of Duxbury; her daughter, Erica Lumbra, of Duxbury; two brothers, Thomas Guyette and his wife, Milisa, of Montpelier, and Michael Guyette and his wife, Tammy, of Barre; three stepchildren, Kurt Green and his fiancée, Kay Anderson, of Waterbury Center, Christy Green and her companion, Adam Walker, of Los Angeles, and Audrey Thompson, of Phoenix; her amazing and dearest friend, Bindy Martin, of Waterbury Center; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.
A celebration of Linda Green's life will be held from the Wesley United Methodist Church in Waterbury on April 14, 2012, at 1 p.m. There will be no calling hours.
The family requests that flowers be omitted; rather memorial gifts would be appreciated to Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice, 600 Granger Road, Barre, VT 05641 (www.cvhhh.org) or to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, 237 East Avenue, Burlington, VT 05401. Words can't even express just how wonderful of a woman Linda was. Always thinking of everyone before herself. Just a sweet, selfless, genuine person with a heart of gold. She was always there with an ear to listen, a shoulder to lean on, and a word of advice. Such a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. We shared so many laughs together, either sitting in the sun talking about boys, or chatting late at night on the computer when the rest of the world was sleeping. She will forever hold a special place in my heart. I am a better person for knowing her. Daisy's and mardi-gras beads…. Rest peacefully my friend.

Erica and John,
Words can not express how truly sorry we are. Linda was a beautiful, compassionate woman that we were fortunate to call our dear friend. She always had a smile, the best advice and was more than willing to lend a hand despite anything happening in her own life. Erica, she loved you with all her heart. Your Mom was so proud of you! She adored being your Mom. Hold the many wonderful memories close- your Mom will always be with you in your heart. John, you made Linda so happy! She truly found what she was wishing for when she found you. Linda loved you and loved being in love with you. Thank you both for sharing such a beautiful person with all of us. Our Ninna was very special to us. When we needed her, she was always there for us. Ninna always had a smile and could make us laugh. Erica and John - Though you can't see her, I know you can feel her. You both were her pride and joy, anyone with eyes could see that! Linda is certainly one woman that will never be forgotten. Such a heavy heart I have with the news of Linda passing. She was an amazing lady! Always doing for others, I remember the day our dog fell out of the back of our truck, she came right to the store told me to take her car and get up to Dr. Steve's and she took care of our business while our whole family was with our beloved pet!
