Norman Y. Ledoux

BARRE - A largely attended Mass of Christian Burial and celebration of life for Norman Y. Ledoux, 49, of Brook Street, was held on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 11 a.m. in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre. He passed away on April 14, 2017, at his home.
The Rev. Peter O'Leary, pastor of the church, was the celebrant.
Crucifer Thomas Prindiville was altar server and led the Prayer of the Faithful.
Organist and vocalist Rosemary Badeau accompanied vocalists Romeo Bilodeau and Paul Plante in the hymns, "Amazing Grace," "Be Not Afraid," "How Great Thou Art," "Song of Farewell" and "On Eagle's Wings."
Rev. O'Leary read the Gospel and delivered the homily.
Offertory gifts were presented at the altar by Rachel Pelkey, Nikki Laprade and Bonnie Jalbert.
Assisting as Eucharistic minister was Cecile Carbonneau, a longtime family friend.
Words of remembrance were shared by Brynn Pelkey.
Urn bearers were Mitch Peatman, Robert Pelkey, Michael Pelkey and Mark Breer.
Burial followed the Mass in Hope Cemetery in Barre where Father O'Leary read the committal prayers. A motorcade of motorcycles (Norman's friends) were in procession to the cemetery.
Following the burial, family and friends gathered at the Canadian Club in Barre for a time of sharing and luncheon. Mark Breer, a close friend, shared memories.
Arrangements were in the care of the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St., Barre.
