BARRE – Rene Joseph Otis, 50, of Naugatuck, Conn., died June 23, 2008.
He was born in Barre on April 27, 1958, the son of Antoinette (Campbell) and the late Eugene P. Otis. He graduated from Spaulding High School in 1976.
Mr. Otis is survived by his mother of East Barre; two brothers, John L. Otis of Southbury, Conn., and Roger Otis of Barre; and two sisters, Renette Cressey of Fort Mill, S.C., and Rita Harvey of Plainfield.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 31, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Hershey Road off the Barre-Montpelier Road. A potluck dinner will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meow Inc., 10 Naser Road, Litchfield, CT 06759.
