I am so sad for you and your loss. Please ask if there is anything I can do for you. Your generosity of spirit has made me happy and I wish the best for you during the time it will take for healing. I remember your enthusiasm about going with family to the Grace Potter concert last summer and enjoyed the gorgeous clothes and jewelry you encouraged me to buy recently. This is so sudden and sad. Lori, Alex, and Devin...
Two years ago, during a hot July, Rick and you guys opened your home to a complete stranger and made me feel right at home. It takes love and warmth to turn a house into a home, and from what I felt, I know that laughter will once again return to that kitchen where you shared so many excellent meals and times. And Rick could not have been more open and welcoming; what a bright light and great spirit!

How so sorry I am for the sudden loss of Rick! Lori, hard to believe its over 30 years together and that you knew how strong your love was then and now! Incredible, really, to have had such a wonderful time together. I know you have an abundance of strong memories, too. I am sad I don't have more of the two of you but was there when the house was bare, just 3 walls! That pig was delish--have had a few whole roasted since then! So sorry to hear of Rick's passing. I have never forgotten him from his ski-patrol days at Sugarbush. He always made me smile and made the difficult times easier to take. He is already missed. To Lori and family, my condolences on your loss. Rick was a friend from high school. We were on the first Wayne Hills Sr. H.S. Varsity Soccer Team in 1966 and 1967. Glad Rick and Lori were able to attend the 45th-Year Reunion of the Wayne Hills Sr.H.S. Class of 1968 last November.

I remember when I first met you so many years ago when I was a young newlywed here in Waitsfield. Such genuine warmth and then your signature gorgeous smile. You have always been so full of rich, candid and no nonsense love and pluck. No wonder Rick loved you so. He always will.
I can't imagine how deep your shock and grief must run. As such a passionate person, it must be that much deeper. Please know how surrounded you are with the love, respect and care of so many of us, near and far. Know that we are and will continue to pray for you and think of you and your and Rick's dear daughters. We love you and wish you to feel protected and safe at this time of unfathomable grief.

I worked with Rick on the Ski Patrol at Sugarbush. I was 17 and I looked up to him. He taught me how to work hard, and how to play hard. Doing a good job was important to Rick, but so was getting in some good turns. He had this great enthusiasm and was a fun guy to be around. My thoughts are with you Lori, Alix, Devon and family.
