Rod Payette Obituary

WOODBURY - Rod Payette, 69, of 51 Ainsworth Road, Woodbury, Vermont, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011, after a long illness.

He was born July 14, 1942, the son of George and Sarah (Dalton) Payette.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

For many years, he volunteered for the Mini-Olympic Wheelchair Games.

He is survived by his wife Kathy of Woodbury; his five children, Tara Payette of Maine, Chance Payette of Woodbury, Dana Payette and his wife Sara of Northfield Falls, Travis Payette of Barre, and Monique Billings and her husband Craig of Graniteville. He also leaves 11 grandchildren: Kyle, Ryan, Zachary, Jake, Autum, McKenzie, Casey, Olivia, Emma, Kayla and Noah. He is also survived by his sisters, Rose Martin, Helen Goodrich, Louise Beaudin, Lorraine Miller, Barbara Felch; his brother, Marshall Payette; and many other relatives and friends.

Rod wished to be cremated with no funeral or calling hours, but with a Celebration of his Life. All of his family and friends are invited to the Celebration of his Life at his home in Woodbury on Saturday, July 30, 2011, starting at noon.
