Felix G. Payette

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Felix G. Payette, who left us on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the age of 55. Born on August 10, 1970, in Farmington, Michigan.

Felix is survived by his cherished wife, Stacy, and his devoted son, Felix Jr. He will be deeply missed by his mother, Lois Payette; his sisters, Georgeanne Garrett, married to Donald, and Janis Payette; and his sister-in-law, Tammy Dobruk. Felix was a loving uncle to Curtis Payette, Robin Sanger, April Sanger, Trevor Dobruk and his wife Rebecca. He was also a proud great uncle to Olivia, Matthew, and Charlotte. Preceding him in death were his father, Gerald, his parent's-in-law; Donald and Patsy McDowell, and his brother-in-law, Michael Dobruk.

A dedicated professional, Felix worked at Med-Star Ambulance Service, providing compassionate care in the non-emergency department of patient transport. He was a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard and a passionate supporter of all things related to the Coast Guard.

Felix had a love for lighthouses and spent much of his time visiting the many beautiful lighthouses throughout the greater Michigan area. As a car enthusiast, he was an active member of the SDAC Great Lakes Chapter of Classic Cars, proudly owning a 1992 I.R.O.C. Daytona vehicle.

Friends and family are invited to honor Felix's memory during visitation on Wednesday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home, Gendernalik Chapel, located at 35259 23 Mile Rd, New Baltimore. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with additional visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.

Felix's kindness, warmth, and love will forever remain in our hearts. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
