Teresa Redmond

TICONDEROGA, N.Y. - Teresa "Terry" Redmond went to the arms of the Lord on Friday, Aug. 21, 2015, at the age of 97, at Heritage Commons Residential Healthcare of Ticonderoga.

Born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, on May 4, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Gerhard and Elizabeth (Maillous) Oser.

Teresa married Matthew Vincent Redmond on Nov. 27, 1941. She and her husband moved to Ticonderoga in 1966, when he became the manager of the P&C Market of Ticonderoga. Terry was employed as a sales clerk at the Flair Ladies Dress Shop in Glens Falls for several years.

Mrs. Redmond was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga and a lifetime member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court St. Mary's #794 of Ticonderoga.

She was predeceased by her husband, Matthew Redmond, on July 2, 1995. She was also predeceased by her parents; an infant son; her brother, Steven Oser; and her sister, Rita Oser.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Michele (Dolbeck) Watson and her husband, Bruce, of Norfolk, Va., and great-grandchildren Nicholas and Noel Watson; and her grandson, Eric Dolbeck and his wife, Samantha, of Springfield, Pa., and great-grandchildren Daniel, Tali and Levi Dolbeck. Terry also leaves a special friend and caretaker, Wendy Shaw of Ticonderoga.

There will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga. The Rev. Kevin D. McEwan, pastor, will officiate.

The Rite of Committal will follow at the family plot in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery of Ticonderoga.
