Genevieve (Genny ) left this world on November 11, 2014 in the presence of her loving daughter, Diana, at the Golden Peaks Nursing Center in Ft. Collins, Colorado. Genny was born August 24, 1942 in Denver, Colorado to George Riley Henry and Jane Kettering Henry. Upon graduating from Sterling High school in 1960, she attended Northeastern Junior College, and then moved to Tempe, Arizona, where she attended Arizona State University and worked at Motorola. She moved back to Colorado in 1965, and in 1966 went to work at the IBM Boulder plant in Memories, and then moved to Timekeeping and Payroll. It was during a vacation to California in the 1960's that Genny fell in love with San Francisco, Sausalito and the Bay Area. So when IBM offered her a position at the San Francisco Branch Office, she was in seventh heaven. It was during this transition period that she changed her last name to Day, which was her paternal grandmother, Della Henry's maiden name. Genny happily retired from IBM in 1992 after 26 years of service. She moved to Windsor, CO in 2001. Genny married Robert J. (Jim) Brintnall on Friday, March 13, 1970. They had 2 children, Diana and James, who were the light of her life. Vexed with the Friday the 13th curse, and years of turbulence, they finally decided to split the sheets in 1980. At that time, she moved to Lyons where she enjoyed the mountains, and spending time at the river. Genny had a great appreciation for art, and was a huge fan of Georgia O'Keefe. In the past few years, she tried her hand at drawing and found she enjoyed it very much. In 2013, one of her drawings was chosen for the Larimer County Alzheimer's Art Auction. She loved animals and always had a cat or dog in the house, which gave her much joy and many funny stories to share. Genny was always laughing and smiling. Her great sense of humor was passed down to her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Jane Henry, of Boulder Colorado and Brother in law Larry Erwin of Lincoln, Nebraska. Survivors include her daughter, Diana Brintnall of Lafayette, CO and formerly Martinez, CA, and James Brintnall of Black Foot, ID. Her grandchildren, Donald Darrah Jr, of Martinez, California, Amber Milner and Cody Brintnall of Crawford, Nebraska. Sisters; Judy (Mike) Parker of Bismarck, ND and Georganne Irwin, of Lincoln, NE. Dear friends Sharron and Duane McCormick of Fort Collins, CO, former husband, Jim Brintnall, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has been entrusted to Goes Funeral Care. A celebration of life will be held in the spring 2015, In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Aspen House Memory Care in Loveland, CO,
