Mr. Charles Stanfield was the best teacher I ever had at any academic level. I became a teacher because of him. He is featured multiple times in papers I wrote to get any of my 3 degrees. He was a Music Teacher, but he taught all of us more about Life than he did about music.

Mr. Stanfield was the best! He encouraged me as an accompanist... even when I messed up during a concert because of nervousness!!
His voice was so powerful, He could be heard above all of the combined choirs during rehearsals!!!
He would call us out for "singing like fish" ... with no facial expression, our mouths moving but our minds weren´t engaged with the meaning of the lyrics. Fun Vocalizing warmups... "Where shall I hit you today? Where shall I hit, hit, hit, hit you today?" As well as Triple Trio practices, Contest, Concerts &
Musical "The Sound of Music"... etc. All hold the best musical as well as high school memories! His love of music was lived out everyday in class and it was infectious... and I loved every minute of it!
So grateful for the opportunity to be lead by such a gifted teacher.
He will be missed.
Prayers for his family.

Mr. Stanfield was my favorite teacher! He encouraged all of us to try harder and excel at whatever we worked at in this life. I also met my future husband, Arnold Turner in Concert Choir. Rest in peace Charlie, you made a lasting impact on our community and its young people.

I also had Mr. Stanfield as my choir teacher in the early 1960"s. My friend Shirley and I gave him a bad time by singing off key and he just couldn't find out where it was coming from. I always wanted to apologize to him, he was so nice, he really cared for his pupils. God bless you Mr, Stanfield. Nancine (Steel) Marsh

Mr Stanfield was one of those teachers that´s at the top of the list as a favorite educator. Personable and genuine, his love of music was infectious. I loved participating in two of his musical productions Sound of Music and South Pacific even if a small part, he always made you feel as though you had something to contribute . A brilliant man with a kind heart and warm smile he lived life to the fullest and has left many with wonderful memories of his life. Rest in peace Mr. Stanfield.

Mr. Stanfield was an inspiration, encourager, influencer, and teacher! He was one of my favorite teachers at Longmont High School, and it was a privilege to be in one of his choirs. High school days were filled with his laughing, and encouragment to be the best you could be, often seasoned with a lot of fun and the reward of hard work. He expected the best from his students and got results to meet his expectations. He was known throughout Longmont as a great choir director, even sharing his abilities with First Christian Church, and setting the standard high. Even after high school and years later, he remembered students and always had a smile and greeting for them when met at the golf course club house where he spent much of his time. Having him for a high school vocal teacher set a high standard for me and I never found a college vocal director that quite met up to what we had in his leading and directing. I know his daughters and grandchildren will miss his sense of humor and presence in their lives. Thoughts and prayers for Lori and Dawn, and family. Praying comfort for you and your loved ones, along with hugs. I am so sorry I am unable to be in Longmont for the celebration of his life. He lived it well!!
