Christine McLaughlin

1962 - 2022

Christine Lynn McLaughlin (Makings) Passed away on March 23, 2022 at the age of 59 after a courageous battle with several illnesses. She was born to Leslie Makings Jr. and Joan Jensen on September 4, 1962. After graduating from Longmont High School she explored and found out that she was an excellent people person, one of her greatest joys was helping and working at Highland Lake. The simplest pleasures in life brought immense happiness to Christine. She enjoyed her arts and crafts, cooking family meals, spending time with family and don't forget grilling up a juicy burger at the Highland Lake Concession Stand. Her rescue dog Ruby was her bright shining light. Christine married Lyle Forcum, together they had 2 children: Brittany and Nicolas. She later married Robert McLaughlin. Christine is survived by her daughter Brittany (Chris) Mayer, son Nicolas Forcum, mother and stepfather Joan and Bill Thompson, sister Rosemary (Mike) Albrecht, brother Billy (Viola) Thompson, brother Monty (Kathy) Makings, several nephews and nieces and many extended family members. Preceding her in death was her father Leslie Makings Jr. A Funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm, March 31, 2022 at the Historic Highlandlake Church near Mead. A Reception will follow at the church. Her family will have a private burial at the Highlandlake Pioneer Cemetery.
