Edgar Dreher Obituary

Edgar Bernard Dreher, 91, of Longmont, died May 17, 2012 at Longmont United Hospital. He was born April 29, 1921 in Libenthal, KS the son of Vincent and Melosina (Sanders) Dreher. He moved to Colorado in 1942 from Kansas.

On October 18, 1954 he married Marie F. Putz in Rosemount, Iowa. Edgar's working career included 23 years at Rocky Flats, retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church.

Survivors include his sons David (Christi) Dreher of Berthoud, Michael (Patricia) Dreher of Windsor, his daughters Melosina Dreher of Arvada and Cecilia Dreher of Longmont. He is further survived by 3 grandchildren; Amber Weichel, Kyle and Holly Dreher, 1 great grandson Peyton Weichel; his brothers Edwin (Carmen) Dreher of Longmont and Clement (Phyllis) Dreher of Rockford, IL, his sister Virginia Lynch of Berthoud and his sister Mary Schoendaller of Longmont.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marie, his brothers Alfred, Eugene and Adolph Dreher and his sisters Josephine Dreher and Lenora Hornsby.

Visitation will be held from 1pm to 5pm with a rosary to follow at 6pm Sunday May 20, 2012 at Howe Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St John the Baptist Catholic Church at 11 am Monday, May 21, 2012. Interment will follow at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
