We had a great time in Boy Scouts. Carefree times hiking and camping.

Some people enter your lives and leave an impression that you never forget. Gary Heil was one of those people. He was a wise, thoughtful, and caring man of quiet strength, integrity and intelligence. For the 43 years that I knew him, I saw him unselfishly offer help, advice and his skills for my grandmother, myself and various family members. He provided well for Jane, Brent and Krista. It has been said that you can detect the character of a man by the way he treats his family and the contentment of his wife and children.
Gary was well-loved, and will be greatly missed . Lastly, I will quote Matthew 25:23, "and the Lord said to him. "Well done good, and faithful servant. Enter into the Joy of your Master!"

I met Gary and Jane when I first moved to Longmont back in 1978 and we became friends from the very beginning.
I worked with Gary from my very first day at AAA Electric and he taught me how to wire houses, I have yet to see anyone whose work was as neat and professional as Garys.
I only stayed with AAA for about 2 years before moving on but remained good friends for a lifetime. I ended up back home in Northern Minnesota where Gary, Jane, Brent and Krista came to visit a couple times. And another time Gary and Jane came and we went to Lac Seul, Ontario Canada for an incredible fishing expedition. Lots of great memories.
Though we had not seen each other these last few years we always remained in contact usually calling each other around the holidays. I will miss you my friend.

He was a rock and the best of friends. He taught me a lot about how to live your life and how to support your family and friends. I was one of his many apprentices that he gladly helped. I remember working side by side and just hanging out for many years and he made it all lots of fun. Years later anytime I would hear Paul Harvey , some good old country song playing , or think about the right way to do something I would and will think of what Gary would have done.
