Michael Gary Pickett

1975 - 2021

Michael Gary Pickett passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 at his home. He was 45. Michael was born on October 25, 1975 in Longmont, Colorado to Gary and Lee (Senseney) Pickett. He grew up in Longmont and was a member of the Boy Scouts of America for several years. Michael graduated from Niwot High School in 1994 and attended Metro State University before moving to Arizona to attend Arizona State University. Michael loved to travel. He studied in Salamanca, Spain for a summer semester while attending MSU. He also travelled to Paris, London and Amsterdam, as well as many cities in the U.S. Michael moved to Orlando, Florida in 2004 and made many friends and lasting relationships during that time. He moved back to Longmont with his parents in 2011 after "nephew #2" was born. Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ralph Senseney and Paternal grandparents Wayne and LaVerna Pickett, and Uncle Sam Senseney. He is survived by his parents, Gary and Lee Pickett, Sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Dean Gomez, "Nephew #1", Grayson Gomez, "Nephew #2" Kendrick Gomez (Longmont), maternal grandmother, Maribelle Senseney (Longmont), Uncle Jim Pickett (Fort Collins, CO), Aunt and Uncle, Val and Frank Guccione (Canyon City, CO), Uncle and Aunt, Bill and Deb Senseney (Orchard, CO), Aunt Randee Senseney (Marietta, GA), best friend and soulmate, Tom Damico (Tampa, FL), numerous cousins and so many friends that loved him. There will be a celebration of life for Michael on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. at Thompson Park in Longmont. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alcoholics Anonymous or the Longmont Humane Society.
