Carol Mulkey Obituary
She was born Oct. 6, 1950, in Ellijay, to the late Fletcher Aaron Wright and the late Delmer Reece Wright.
She is preceded in death by loving husband of 48 years, Charles Earl Mulkey; brothers, Eugene Delmer Wright, Paul Wright, Richard Harold Wright; infant brother, Cecil Wright; brothers-in-law, Dave Dagraedt and Osborn Miller; sisters-in-law, Barbara Wright, Christine Wright, Mary Wright and Shelba Mulkey; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Buford and Alma Mulkey (Lutrell); step-father-in-law, JT Luttrell; and niece, Lisa Mulkey Batten.
She is survived by daughter, Cynthia Mulkey (Jack) Savage, of Ellijay; son, Matthew Charles Mulkey, of Ellijay; grandchildren, Melanie (Timothy) Ballew, Emily (Justin) Bridges, Samuel Nicholson, Savanna-lynn (Austin) Savage-Vick, Jeremy-Micheal (Sarah) Forgue, Bricen (Hannah) Mulkey, Derrick Mulkey and Kimberly Garrett; great-grandchildren, Mila Ballew, Jack Ballew, Abigail Ballew, Aurelius Savage-Vick, Angelus Savage-Vick, and Thea Savage-Vick; sister, Vercel Miller (daughter of Vercel, Diane); sister-in-law, Wanda (George) Cornell; brother-in-law, Bobby Ruel Mulkey; and many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Jamie Kerr officiating.
The family expresses a special thanks to Willow Brooks Hospice, Louise Lee, Vickie and Jerry Stephens and her best friend, Janie Kincaid.
