Carole Wright Obituary
She was born Aug. 24, 1947, to the late Thomas Haygood Hamm and Kittie Constance Bass Hamm. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She had a deep love for cooking, cherished her family dearly and found great joy in traveling. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her two sons, Greg Wright, of Talking Rock, and Jeff Wright, of Ellijay; two grandchildren and their spouses, Austin (Jill) Wright and Daisy (Brandon) Luther; two great-grandchildren, Anniston Wright and River Luther, and a host of friends at the Oaks of Ellijay and others also survive.
A joint memorial service honoring the lives of Carole Wright and Jeff Wright was held Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. John Reece officiating. A private graveside service followed at Yukon Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the Oaks of Ellijay Assisted Living and Compassus Hospice for their exceptional care of her.
