Gertha Sigers Obituary

Mrs. Gertha Mae Sigers, 83, of Ellijay died Sunday, Oct.13, 2024.

She was born April 15, 1941, in Gilmer County, to the late Robert Lee Holt and Effie Sanford Holt.

She was a member of Riverhill Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by sister, Hazel Young; brothers, Bobby Holt, Charles Holt, Lewis Holt and Franklin Holt.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth (Tammy) Sigers; brothers and sisters-in-law, James (Brenda) Holt, Doyle (Wilma) Holt, all of Ellijay; sister and brother-in-law, Alice (Ted) Hall, of Ellijay; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2024, from the Riverhill Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Smith and the Rev. Russell Hood officiating.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Billy Holt, William Holt, Carl Holt, Michael Holt, Daniel Young and Tyler Young.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ruel Southern, Euel Southern and Joey Holt. Music will be performed by Ronald and Linda Hyde.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Flowers and food will both be accepted in memory of Mrs. Sigers.

Bernhardt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
